Electrical Designer to 65K

Job Description:Dynamic Las Vegas based company seeking a Electrical Designer to specify, design, and verify all aspects of the electrical system. In addition, the Electrical Designer is to guide and supervise the work of an assigned Electrical Draftsperson including:Verification of client specificationsDesign of electrical systems that meet or exceed client specificationsModel electrical system designs in CADPrepare bills of materials for finished electrical assemblies and assist in the procurement off outside vendor parts and serviceSupervise and assist in the creation of finished electrical assembly and fabrication drawingsSupervise and assist in t he preparation of finished as-built/as-installed versions of above drawingsAcquire or generate as necessary all technical product data sheets required to document above drawingsCompile above drawings and documents as directed by the Design Department Supervisor to provide complete mechanical submittal and O&M packagesAssist as time allows or as project schedules require, in the fabrication, assembly, testing and installation of equipment or systems produced by the Design Department Requirements:Two years minimum experience using AutoCAD 2000 or higher in a professional full-time settingOne year minimum experience with 3D modeling program (i.e. Inventor, SolidWorks)* Experience with Mechanical Desktop is a plusTwo years minimum experience preparing control and electrical schematics, risers and PTP drawings.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating systemsAbility to work appropriately as part of a team, be self-motivated, and be able to work unsupervisedMust be able to multi-task and prioritize work and must be able to work within deadlines and change schedule as requiredAbility to communicate effectively with engineering and technical staff, work within deadlines and adjust personal schedule as required and the ability to create and maintain a positive relationshipExperience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and creating Acrobat files (.PDF)Company offers benefit package including 401K.
