Description:ResponsibilitiesCheck and maintain electrical motor controllers, starters, relays and lighting controllers for proper operationsRun branch circuits and feeder circuits, bending conduit and pulling wire as well as running MC cableWorking in and on a raised floor environment.Install lighting and electrical devices such as receptacle and switches, sight sensors, photoelectric sensors and other electrical components. Working on and in energized electrical junction boxes and panels using proper safety proto calls.Utilizing Lock Out, Tag Out procedures.Knowledge of current NEC, budge control of labor and material costs and revenue projections.Work with modular furniture electrical systems.Maintenance and trouble shooting of EMS and HVAC Electrical systems.Maintenance and trouble shooting of fire alarm and sound systemsMaintenance of electrical systems and their components.About the OpportunityMaintain, diagnose, and correct problems throughout the buildings electrical systems by adjusting motor controls, branch circuits and feeders to recommended settings and testing the performance of the entire system using special tools and test equipmentQualifications:Licensed in the City of Dallas as a Journeyman electrician 10-year minimum.Know and understand the NEC, Chapter 70 of the NFPA.Must have experience and be adept at using a variety of tools, including hammers, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, electric drills, pipe benders, electrical test meters, Safety equipmentMust have experience using voltmeters, amp meters and other testing devices to check motor controls, relays, electrical circuits, duct heaters, circuit breakers and branch circuits, and other components.Have a working knowledge of PDU, UPS, VFD controlsWorking knowledge of Fire alarms, Energy management systems, sound systems and Data communication systems.Install and service motor control systems and a variety of branch circuits, starters, relays and related equipment.Refined skills in blueprints reading (commercial and industrial), understanding design specifications, and manufacturers instructions to install motors, motor feeders, branch circuits, lighting controls and other electrical components.Follow ladder diagrams and wiring schematics to trouble shoot failed electrical systems.Diagnose the problem and make repairs to electrical systems and electrical equipment by testing parts such as motors, relays, circuit breakers, starters and light ballasts and other electrical components.Inspect the systems and do required maintenance, such as overhauling motor controllers.Use care to insulate and follow safety requirements while working on hot circuits, motor starters, controllers and other electrical components.Know how to install and bend a variety of conduit sizes.
