Job SummaryPosition is primarily focused on providing support for the Labware LIMS application. Position is expected to be included in strategy definition and defining tactics that are aligned with corporate, departmental and/or functional area strategies and objectives for the LACES program. This position interfaces with the end user community to deliver answers to technical questions related to the LIMS applicaitons,project development specifications and strategies that will deliver a system solution, which meets the business objectives. This position is responsible for applying advanced knowledge of the Labware LIMS application, business processes along with improvement skills, techniques and concepts to make a significant contribution to business process design improvements and system implementations that enable the program or functional unit to achieve the stated vision. The incumbent must have a thorough understanding of the Labware LIMS application, along with manufacturing experience, and laboratory knowledge to contribute to the objectives of the program or functional unit.Job Responsibilities*Provide end users support for the Labware LIMS application. The support duties will entail answering technical how-to questions, troubleshooting advanced application issues, developing and fixing Crystal reports, and various other support related tasks.*Works with clients to determine technology solutions; emphasis is on systems integration; frequent inter-organizational and external contacts. Often contribute to overall project plans; develops an action plan for meeting IT objectives and business unit solutions. Uses thorough process and system knowledge to make significant contributions to programs.*Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems requiring creative solutions. Initiates creative methods and collaborative problem solving. Provides input to long-term IT Strategy as well as input as to how to achieve organizational goals. May impact resource allocations or departmental goals. *Contributes to the design of training materials by sharing application and business process knowledge in a single area/program. Possesses a level of Subject Matter knowledge to serve as a training resource if required.*Directly responsible for compliance of work product to internal and external regulations to avoid unacceptable risk to the project, program or Functional Area.*Provides project leadership; with broad industry perspective, provides technology direction and process improvement.Basic Qualifications*BS/BA +5 years or MS/MA + 3 years or equivalent experience. Intermediate knowledge of hardware/ software; wide application of knowledge in Labware LIMS, Crystal reports, Oracle and other supported areas.*Training is required on the applicable software, GXP regulations for both US and EMEA, internal policies and procedures. Training is provided by the department if required.*5+ years of experience in a information systems/services department for a Bachelor's degree and 3+ yrs for a Master's degree.Relocation is not available for this position.
