To learn more please visit us at www.polyone.com GENERAL SUMMARYPolyOne is seeking a qualified R&D Co-op for our Executive Technology group. The position will be located in Avon Lake, OH and is a paid Co-op position. The ideal candidate will reside in the local area and will be available to begin in May 2008. Pay is commensurate with experience.ESSESENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Become familiar with plastics processing through hands-on experience working as a technician with weighing, compounding, compression molding, extrusion and injection molding* Learn about various aspects of plastic testing, such as testing of physical properties, processing characteristics and possibly analytical testing* Conduct research and development projects under scientist’s supervision and with help of the technicians, such as evaluation of raw materials, compound development, fundamental studies on engineering polymers and other polymers* Analyze the experimental data and write technical reports on the projects conducted by the co-op student* Make technical presentations* Attend technical presentations, training programs, and group meetings * Any other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALITFICATIONSTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily.
