Position Profile

 

CEI, the Triangle's fastest growing digital office solutions provider, is recruiting for an Entry Level Field Service Technician. The position requires an individual to be responsible for accurate service and punctuality.  Training is provided for qualified candidates.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Reports to Service Manager and Field Service Supervisor Responds to service requests in timely manner Installs and services copiers, faxes, scanners and other digital office equipment Maintains paperwork before and after service call Maintain tool kit and inventory of parts. Pro-actively resolves customer request of service   Frequent contact with customers, management, supervisors, Sales Department and other co-workers requiring communication verbally, in writing or through other means Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by Field Service Supervisor and/or Service Manager

 

Qualifications

 0-1 years of copier service experience

The Service Technician should possess a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills.

He/she should also be able to assist and/or instruct associates as required.

The technician must maintain favorable relations with the customers and fellow employees. 

Good time management skills are required. 

Frequent travel is necessary and a valid driver’s license is required. 

This position requires the ability to lift at least 10-15 lbs, sit, kneel and bend for long periods of time.

Work Environment

Due to the evolving nature of the copier business, this position requires the ability and willingness to learn and implement new technologies, services and procedures.  This position requires frequent travel to customer accounts where the placement of the copiers is out of our control.  Your work environment will vary based on the establishment visited.
