EQUIPMENT ANALYST

Location:

Riviera Beach, Florida

Tropical Shipping, a premier ocean cargo carrier serving the Bahamas and the Caribbean, is looking for a top-notch analyst for the equipment management department.

 

Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process analysis in the field of logistics and/or a strong accounting background

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all departmental processes, including monthly per diems, off hire accruals, Kestrel interline billing, T-Link equipment functions and PeopleSoft reconciliation.  Develops and leads business plans for improvement opportunities.  Gathers data and generates all reports for the Equipment Management group.  Analyze reports to identify ways to create efficiencies in fleet management.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Responsible for developing and documenting all departmental processes, including monthly per diems, off hire accruals, Kestrel interline billing, T-Link and PeopleSoft reconciliation.

Establishes and maintains routine operating procedures and handles non-routine occurrences in accordance with service standards.

Reconciles and approves all per diem invoices.

Develops and tracks average repair costs based on historical figures to appropriately accrue expenses.

Responsible for planning fleet size  and forecasting utilization needs

Maintain expert knowledge of T-Link Equipment module.  Provides training on system and processes as required.

Assist with developing and maintaining  Equipment Management Policies.

Performs all of duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree in Business or other related field – Bachelor Degree Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

One to three years experience in logistic processes, analytical reporting. Experience developing and maintaining databases. (i.e. Microsoft Access)

LICENSE:

Valid Local Driver's License

LANGUAGE:

English
