Administration The Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to conserve wildlife, educate people, and support the Milwaukee County Zoo. The ZSM seeks a Vice President of Finance and Administration with a minimum of 10 years of progressive financial, managerial-level experience in a not-for-profit environment. This individual--a key member of the management team--plays a critical role in leadership, financial planning and administration, and oversees all aspects of the ZSM's finances, as well as human resources and the volunteer auxiliary (Zoo Pride) of the organization. Responsibilities include accounting and financial management, budget development, payroll, human resource management, employee benefits and coordination of the annual audit.

We are looking for a candidate who is intelligent, energetic, dedicated, communicative and honest. This position requires commitment to the ZSM's mission, superior technical skills, excellent planning and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and a strong understanding of GAAP. Candidate must have proficiency with Windows Office and Accpac or similar accounting software.

This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Board of Directors. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance as well as work history that reflects increasing responsibility. CPA preferred.
