FRENCH Language Coordinator(Temporary)

Description:

 

• Coordination and scheduling of linguistic tasks on a project basis, communication with the resources, providing instruction and other materials, query management, language and service quality control, outsourcing cost control.


• Translation/Editing/Linguistic QA of user interface, printed documentation, help/online documentation, Web pages, graphics and advertisement and collateral marketing material from English into French and re-sizing of dialog boxes in user interfaces.


• Participate in project execution as a representative of European Language group (including pre-production and post-production tasks), and ownership for resolving linguistic issues.


• Respect and compliance with all ISO procedures.


• Achieve delivery of quality French translation which meets or exceeds Lionbridge’s and Lionbridge customer's expectations and requirements; the expectations and requirements include: language quality, given budget and schedule.


• Actively provide feedback related to language aspects of localization to internal/external project team for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

• 2+ year(s) of professional experience in translation

• Native fluency in French
• Strong customer service, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Solid skills and experience in vendor communication in localization industry
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong command of the English language is essential.
• Strong computer skills

• Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work well with others in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment

• Strong project management skills

 

DESIRED: 

 

Knowledge of Translation Memory and DTP tools as well as other computer-assisted translation software would be a plus!!

 

EDUCATION: 

 

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation (preferably French)
