Facility Lead Maintenance

Summary – Responsible for the leading the day to day work of the maintenance team

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

 

·  Perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, environmental controls and life safety systems throughout the facilities and grounds maintenance

·  Apply specialized knowledge and expertise across many different disciplines and ensure an efficient and safe working environment

·  Prepare supplies request list

·  Follow up on requests for maintenance received thru the e-mail system

·  Consult with vendors and various internal departments

·  Compile reports of building issues to discuss with Management

·  Supervise one or more employee and evaluate their performance

·  Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; Trade School (Major in Electrical Repair)  College a degree a plus

·  Minimum 3-5 years of commercial facility  and commercial electrical experience

·  Must have experience with 480 volts three phase

·  Excellent communication skills. Must speak, read, write and understand English

·  Ability to maintain good working relationship with all departments and employees; strong customer service skills

·  Must have at least two years of welding, cutting and painting

·  Self-motivated, strong planning, organizational and time management skills

·  Proficient with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

 

·  Standing, sitting, kneeling for extended periods (for period of up to two hours)

·  Climb ladders, stairs and work on various lifts / platforms

·  Work in confined spaces when needed

·  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

·  Working at heights up to 50 ft.(Hands Free)

·  Ability to working in confined areas

·  Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test for a Respirator Certificate

·  Working with welding, cutting and  painting equipment

·  Vision acceptable to drive in the State of Florida

 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

State of Florida certified electrician’s license not required but preferred.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment or an air conditioned warehouse / shop. Outside work is also required, as needed
