Field Investigator

Overview

A local and growing private detective agency currently seeks self starting, resourceful and energetic applicants for a part time/full time Field Investigator position in the Omaha area.  The position will likely be in the 40 hour per week range during the summer and fall with the chance of reduced hours during the winter.

 

Job Description

The successful candidate must be willing and able to conduct surveillance and related investigations when needed.  Overnight, extended travel is required and generally takes place throughout Nebraska, western Iowa and South Dakota. Typical days consist of 8-10 hours of surveillance and generally take place inside of a vehicle.  While conducting surveillance, you will covertly watch the target on location, follow the target by vehicle or on foot if mobile, obtain clear and concise video evidence and maintain notes that will be converted to a written report at the end of the day.  Although the work is demanding and sometimes uncomfortable, it is also rewarding. 

 

Requirements Must be a self starter and early riser Strong attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to develop professional, accurate, and detailed reports Able and willing to travel as needed Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed Ability to meet deadlines Investigative, security or loss prevention background a plus Must be able to pass a rigorous criminal background check as well as a drug test
