Field Services Director (LA Region)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Manage subordinate managers or supervisors who supervise employees in executing the service contracts for the region. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, high level customer interface and evaluation of service contracts. Assist with proposal submission for the services element and assist with the contractual and commercial negotiations, pre and post contract. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interview, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Fully interacts with division or departments such as engineering, manufacturing, planning, business development to effect operational efficiency and economy. Direct and coordinate promotion of services performed or systems operated to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in the AFC or AFC related industry. Prepare and analyze department budgets and future business development forecasts. Direct preparation of directives to division or department managers outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented. Present monthly service operation and business development reports.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent and ten years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Have knowledge of the principles of service provision in general and AFC services specifically. Strong personnel management, general business management, and contractual, commercial, sales and negotiating skills are an important prerequisite. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
