Our business is about rapidly scaling in a white-hot media market.

Role: Financial and Accounting Analyst
Function as the central data collection and business analytics unit supporting the senior executive team. Perform financial analysis, track, synthesize, and report key cost and revenues metrics. The position also supports the CFO in competitive intelligence collection and setting up business processes to optimize reporting, financial management, and accounting operations. The position reports to VP of Finance and involves working with contractors in HR, Accounting, and Legal. Position is based in SF.

Core Responsibilities:

• Financial metrics reporting (40%)

o Financial metrics for mgmt meeting (weekly)

§ Cost by function

§ Variance analysis against budget

§ Overall resource allocations

o Sales metrics

§ Pipeline tracking for financial/revenue forecast

o Ops cost metrics

§ Variance analysis of roll out cost

§ Exceptional charge tracking

§ Contractor expense analysis

§ Per venue cost tracking

• Business process and project management (40%)

o Set up PO, order tracking, and general procurement process and flow

o Financial accounting and tracking of Capex and service spending

o Market research and analysis

o Interface with customers and internal departments for problem solving and troubleshooting on accounting differences and cost tracking

• General accounting (20%)

o Monthly statement consolidation

o AP/ AR management and entry

o Monthly payroll, PTO, and 401k data entry

o Actual/budget comparison

o Contractor cost/payment validation

Qualifications:

• BS in Finance, Accounting, or Biz Admin

• At least 2 years related experience as Financial analyst or Business analyst in Investment Banks or Management Consulting

• Experience with cost analysis and report generation

• Experience in metrics reporting and project management

• Proficiency in MS Words, Excel, Power Point – experience with Quickbook, Salesforce, or NetSuite a plus

• Start-up experience a plus

• Experience within a media company a plus
