Location: East Peoria, IL 61611 Contact Name: Neila Helmer Contact Email: nhelmer@simplexgrinnell.com Contact Address: 1090 North Main StreetEast Peoria,IL 61611 Phone : (309) 694-8000 Fax: (309) 694-8007 JobRefCode: 021851 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Other Experience: 1+ to 2 Years       Job Description   Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to the Suppression Department and for implementing action plans to drive top line growth and other coprorate objectives.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma or equivalent.• 2 years management experience in the fire suppression industry preferred• Computer skills• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening  RESPONSIBILITIES:  • Develop business plans, recruit key personnel, and implement marketing plans and strategies to capture suppression market share.• Oversee, drive and sell the portables, pre-engineered systems,  e-lights and gas system business.• Identify and initiate resolutions of problems dealing with customers, personnel, etc.• Effectively manage technicians, installers,  and staff members• Prepare proposals.• Manage the department P & L forecast.• Abide by federal, state and local laws & regulations, as well as company programs.• Maintain a positive and supportive environment  KNOWLEDGE/SKILSS/ABILITIES• Operational management experience in servicing of suppression products.• Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Management or Administration or equivalent practical experience.• Knowledge of local and national fire code requirements.• Proficient in the use of personal computers to include operating systems such as Windows 2000/XP/Vista.• Knowledge of SimplexGrinnell billing and management systems• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, tasks, and duties.• Ability to complete assigned tasks and special projects with minimal supervision or direction.• Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.• Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills  For consideration, please email your resume to Neila Helmer, nhelmer@simplexgrinnell.com .  Only applicants that possess the minimum qualifications will be considered; please do not respond if you do not meet the above criteria.  Not all applicants will receive a response; only the top candidates will be notified.    SimplexGrinnell offers an excellent compensation and benefits program, including educational assistance, employee stock plan and matching 401K program. SimplexGrinnell is EEO Employer.
