The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic include:. Maintains varied mechanical equipment including mixers, blenders, compressors, boiler systems, pumps and related mechanical equipment to ensure good working order.. Performs general maintenance procedures and repairs.. Performs electrical maintenance and installation work. This includes installation of lights, panels, motors, control boards and general electrical repairs.. Develop and maintain the preventive maintenance program in conjunction with the work order system.. Manage the forklift fleet.. Manage and direct contract labor and maintain the Contractor database.. May instruct and direct the work of less experienced maintenance staff or helpers. . Comply with all OHSHA programs and EH&S programs.Job Experience:Job Qualifications/Requirements:. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.. Minimum 8 years experience in a maintenance function.. Chemical plant experience preferred.. Industrial electrical experience.. Welding repair experience.. Utilities maintenance and repair (Steam boilers, air compressors, water systems). HVAC troubleshooting experience.. Lock Out Tag Out certification.. Confined Space Supervision, Entrant, and Attendant certified.. Experience with electronic work order tracking and equipment database software.
