Functional/Technical Analyst
Job Description:Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Perform complex functional analysis, requirements definition, detailed design specification, worksession facilitation, test script definition, system testing, and testing coordination related to a highly customized version of public sector PeopleSoft 8.3 Payroll, Time & Labor, HR, and Benefits, along with PeopleSoft Employee and Manager Self Service version 8.9. Work will include system enhancements and fixes. Production support issue resolution, business impact analysis, business recovery, and action planning with regard to Convergys Business Services system support (Payroll, Time and Labor, HR, and Benefits). Serve as team lead working with business users, developers, systems administrator, and DBAs for implementation of software enhancements and production fixes. Perform functional problem resolution and systems analysis with regards to interfaces with other Texas Health and Human Services business applications, HR and Payroll interfaces with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and Benefits interfaces with the Texas Employee Retirement System. Work will involve complex PeopleSoft Query development, SQL development using TOAD, and some SQR construction and/or enhancement. Prefer experience with the Texas Health and Human Services Administrative System (HHSAS) for HR/Payroll, Texas Employee Retirement System, and Texas Comptroller systems. Education & Professional Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline and Six years relevant experience or Master’s Degree in related technical discipline and Four years relevant experience or Eleven years relevant experience without college degree. Candidate Profile: In depth knowledge of PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, and Time and Labor functional processing environment and expertise with SQR, SQL, Data Mover and Crystal Reports. Full life cycle implementation and production support experience on multiple projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Labor, eApps, and Self Service applications. Must be able to write clear and accurate Technical requirement documents and pursue client for necessary information.
