General Accountant II

OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world's information and reducing information costs. Tens of thousands of libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials. We are currently seeking candidates for a General Accountant II for our Boulder, Colorado office.

The person in this position will provide accounting support for OCLC/NetLibrary products and services. This position is responsible for the underlying financial data/general ledger to ensure proper recognition of revenue/deferred revenue.
Monthly reporting for revenue recognition including calculation of revenue/deferred revenue and maintenance of the related complex amortization schedules Preparation and input of month-end journal entries Balance sheet account reconciliation Test and review of order services/billing/royalty transactions Assist with annual audit duties Perform additional financial analysis and special projects as needed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting Previous experience required: 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or financial reporting in industry; including journal entry preparation/input, general ledger and general ledger account reconciliation. This includes a thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals and application of revenue recognition principles Experience with enterprise application software. Advanced to expert Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills Performs work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multi-task on a daily basis with minimum direction The ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
