General Maintenance Mechanic

General Maintenance Mechanic/Pipefitter and Welder:- Comply with the site’s safe work practices.- Work within other compliance requirements.- Work safely, using appropriate PPE, procedures and behaviors.- Perform repairs and other maintenance activities to specified specs and standards per procedure.- Document work findings and job status.- Maintain a clean work environment.- Support team work through respectful and collaborative behaviors.
Work Experience/Skills Required:A minimum of 5 years of process piping fabrication experience is required. Demonstrated ability to cut, prep and fit-up piping from drawings or field fit as required. A minimum of 3 years of welding experience in a process plant with applicable certifications in SMAW welding and TIG welding is required. Strong rigging abilities and a good working knowledge of the various types of process equipment are required. The successful applicant must have good communication and interpersonal skills.Work Experience/Skills Preferred:A demonstrated ability to perform boiler making tasks including exchanger repairs involving welded or rolled tube installations, heater repairs and vessel internal repairs is preferred. Education Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Education Preferred:2 year degree in a technical school or equivalent educational background is preferred.
