General Manager - Consumer Operations

Due to growth, a well established, customer-focused leading regional convenience store operator needs your general management and leadership expertise to contribute to the strategic development and success of this organization.  Self-confident, dynamic individual with convenience store operations and customer service experience is required. Professional appearance and presentation skills, dedication to building a strong team environment and a contagious enthusiasm may qualify you for this position.  You will report directly to the CEO. 

The Job: To build a professional management team in each of the C-Stores, to establish and to deliver weekly and monthly financial and performance targets.

Essential Functions:

·  Ability to establish trust, loyalty and respect with store supervisors and other team members;

·  Achieve per unit sales and gross profit targets;

·  Assuring proper inventory management and pricing are achieved;

·  Organize and direct the sales/marketing and management processes and policies;

·  Handle personnel issues including but not limited to training, scheduling, regulatory compliance, etc.;

·  Good computer skills including considerable experience with POS systems;

·  Ability to work Saturdays;

·  Assist in the budgeting and fiscal planning;

·  Build a management team building environment that promotes and assures strong and cohesive units.

Experience Desired:

·  Three (3) to Five (5) years of multi unit management experience in a convenience store or similar operations;

·  Proven Leadership – Ability to lead by example and work with a Teamwork environment;

·  Goal Oriented – will to be accountable for actions;

·  Verifiable operations and P&L responsibility and achievements;

·  Customer Interaction Skills – Recovery, complaints, professional follow-up;

·  Training and Coaching Ability;

·  Ability to listen and comprehend;

·  Ability to evaluate and counsel;

·  Ability to work with a diverse work force;

·  Organizational – Time Management – Focus;

·  Sense of urgency comprehension
