Job Description:Dimension & Scope:Primary responsibilities include management of vendors responsible for relocating employees, client relationship management, and HRIS data management. Reporting development and policy development. This position is also responsible for ensuring that relocation policies are administered consistently throughout the corporationand that relocation costs are monitored and controlled.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:-Manages all areas of the employee relocation process. Responsibilities include assistance with the sales of existing real estate for the transferee, rental or purchase of new residence, transportation of household goods, arrangement of temporary housing and other activities as necessary to facilitate the relocation.-Processes cost estimates, expense vouchers, relocation reimbursements, cash advances, allowances, and bonuses.-Establishes and maintains relationships with real estate brokers and other external relocation consultants. -Selects, negotiates rates and manages all external vendors involved in the relocation process.-Manages short and long term international assignments and relocations.-Monitor compliance of taxation and work permits for foreign nationals in the U.S. and U.S. citizens on expatriate assignments.-Confer with business units to develop creative relocation solutions to meet project needs, ensuring the integrity and consistency of corporate plans/programs are maintained.-Manages all director and above relocations company wide.-Trains and serves as an internal resource to regional HR associates involved with employee relocations at the local level.-Establishes and maintains corporate policies related to corporate relocation. -Continuously assesses the policies to ensure clarity, comprehensiveness, tax compliance, as well as competitiveness.-Enforces corporate policies, with authority to approve exceptions to policy within the parameters established.Education & Professional Certifications:-Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with three to five years related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.-Attainment of, or significant progress towards, the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) Degree from the Employee Relocation Counsel.Candidate Profile:-Familiarity with global platforms highly beneficial.-Minimum three years domestic and international corporate relocation experienceMust have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel.-Thorough knowledge of IRS guidelines for tax treatment of different relocation components.-General knowledge of immigration issues, including requirements for passports, work permits, and residence permits.-Knowledge of real estate issues associated with relocation and home purchase programs, such as appraisals, broker’s price opinions, guaranteed buyout process, mortgage financing, familiarity with typical closing cost elements and third party services used to perform this service.-Solid communication skills, both oral and written.-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external associates.-Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a team.-Ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and rapidly changing business environment.-Decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation and implementation. Analysis and problem solving skills to determine effects on existing systems and/or business processes.
