Government Project Manager

Job Description:This is a full time position. The position requires the following minimum qualifications and experience: - Experience managing large ID/IQ call-in contracts for NYC agencies. Specific management experience on contracts with NYC DDC, NYCT, NYC DEP, and DASNY is highly desirable- 8 or more years of experience on hazardous waste site investigations and remediation.- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience on projects in NYC- Working knowledge of other federal and state (NY) environmental regulations- Bachelor or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Hydrogeology or related field.- Excellent communication and writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.- Professional licensing (P.G., P.E., or similar)- NJ Regulatory experience a plus, but not required.Responsibilities include:- Day to day project management for large call-in contracts with total project management responsibility for multiple projects for NYC agencies- A primary role in client and budget management activities and responsibility for successful maintenance of existing clients.- Preparation of proposals; planning, coordinator, integrating, monitoring, appraising, and closing project activities; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; reporting variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending corrective actions; administering project changes; working with procurement professionals, maintaining client liaison; preparing declarations of revenue.- Development of technical documents, cost estimates, schedules and scopes of work. Management of time and materials and large lump sum remediation projects will be required.- Lead project teams and possess a high level of individual initiative.- Participate in professional activities for the purpose of career development.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate progressive increase in financial/supervisory accountability and authority and experience with risk management protocols.
