Position

DMG America currently has the need for a newly created position of Human Resources Assistant.  This position will report directly to our Vice President of Human Resources Americas in our Itasca, IL office.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will have knowledge of US employment law and regulations, basic benefit program knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge required.  B.S./B.A. in Human Resources along with internship experience.  New May 2008 college graduates (with HR degrees) welcome to apply.

 

Position Details/Responsibilities

  Recruiting

·  Coordinating interview with hiring managers and professional head-hunters.

·  Generating offer letters and new hire packets.

·  Coordinating drug tests for new hires

·  Arranging for travel for candidates as needed.

 

Reporting

·  Tracking all new hires, terminations, and transfers on a monthly basis.

·  Preparing monthly headcount reports and organization charts.

·  OSHA Log 300 preparation on annual basis.

 

Workers Compensation

·  Complete 1st report of injury to carriers and document file.

·  Coordinate with carrier to ensure employee payments and documentation is accurate.

·  Coordinate with managers for Return To Work Status updates.

 

Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability

·  Filing application for employees.

·  Coordinate with carrier to ensure employee payments and documentation is accurate.

·  Coordinate with managers for Return To Work Status updates.

 

Work Visa Processing/Green Cards

·  Coordinate with candidates and attorneys to process Work Visas.

·  Coordinate with employees and attorneys to process Green Card applications.

 

Additional Responsibilities

·  Maintain personnel files.

·  Run reports on an ad hoc basis from ADP Payroll system.

·  Answer employee benefit questions and research issues.

·  Additional duties as assigned.

 

 

Compensation

The Human Resources Assistant position is an exempt, salaried position.  Base Salary is $32,000 with an increase to $35,000 after successful completing 6 months.
