HVAC/R Wholesale Distribution Sales Manager

Johnstone Supply seeks a seasoned HVAC/R sales professional to maximize business opportunities in the Cincinnati, OH area. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Research customer needs and develop marketing plan to effectively service those needs in an effective manner by:Determining market size, strategies and plans for market responsibility. Targeting specific customer segment groups in each market.Communicating marketing plan to all necessary individuals to ensure clarity of purpose. Evaluating product and service marketability in terms of customer needs.Following up on all pertinent sales leads. Maintaining up to date information of industry trends and technical developments that directly affect target markets and customer segments. Establishing and maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.

 Develop and deliver sales presentations by:Developing sales and marketing proposals for targeted customer segment groups.Assisting in the development of training programs for both the company’s personnel and the customers’.Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals.

  Participate in sales forecasting and effective planning by:Researching, developing and maintaining long and short range sales and Marketing Plan.  Assisting in producing regular reports and final plans for ownership’s approval.Maintaining an up to date awareness of strategic plans and change procedures when needed to accomplish goals. Analyzing pertinent sales and gross profit data as they relate to the Sales Plan and adjust Plan as needed with ownership’s approval.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·  A bachelor's degree in marketing or management is preferred.

·  Three or more years sales experience of HVAC/R products to the contractor trades, OEM’s, or industrial markets.

·  Excellent oral and written skills including formal presentation skills for small and large groups.

·  Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale.

·  Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments.

·  Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Customers, other management staff, employees, and the general public.

·  Ability to define problems: collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in all areas of responsibility.

·  Ability to handle Customer and internal situations, which are sometimes stressful or time critical in a logical manner and resolve issues resourcefully and tactfully.

·  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.

·  Intermediate computer skills, primarily in the use of Microsoft Office products:  Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·  Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.

·  Must be able to pay close attention to details.
