Learning Portal Administrator

 

Position Description

The Learning Portal Administrator provides support of the CoreNet Learning Portal solution (Learning Management System [LMS] and communications with internal administration system) and serves as key point of contact for members, employees and CoreNet’s Learning Portal solution provider (ACS) on all matters relating to the Learning Portal.

 

Responsibilities:Facilitate resolution of Learning Portal maintenance issues including troubleshooting software problems, validating break fixes and other technical support requests / questions User acceptance testing of product upgrades and enhancementsMonitor ongoing CoreNet business requirementsMake and articulate enhancement recommendations to CoreNet and ACSRapidly gain knowledge of the CoreNet Learning Portal solution from both business and technical perspectivesRemain current on the ACS Learning Portal solutionSupport reporting function Define internal policy and procedures with respect to the CoreNet Learning PortalContent maintenanceUpdate user information / entitlement Perform catalog updates / maintenancePricing / eCommerce maintenanceServe as internal SME on CoreNet Learning Portal

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

· 3-5 years in an administer-type role in working with a Learning Portal

· 3-5 years experience including project management, and development and deployment of software applications.

· 3-5 years working with eLearning technologies

· Systems administration and operations experience a plus.

· A Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent discipline is required.

 

Skills and Knowledge:Expert knowledge of Learning Portal technologies/platforms/software. In-depth knowledge of e-learning technologies/platforms/software. In-depth knowledge of CoreNet technologies/platforms/software and technical standards. Strong project management skills and able to manage projects to completion on time and on budget. Expert troubleshooting / problem solving skills. Excellent written/communication skills a MUST – must be capable of interacting/communicating with individuals at both technical and non-technical levels. Possesses full project life cycle experience. Runs project meetings efficiently. Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Experienced in working with Learning Portal vendors and vendor management. Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills are necessary. Proven ability to work independently and effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams. Must thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Exercise strong judgment while resolving issues and escalating risk to the next level of management. Customer-oriented with a focus on results. Demonstrated ability to quickly establish and maintain credibility and effective working relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
