Human Resources Director

The Director of Human Resources will work closely with the VP of Human Resources as a tactical partner to implement key business decisions, division policy and Company HR policies and programs that support the overall business objectives. Ensures the professional, timely, and effective ongoing administration of the following primary human resource responsibility areas:
Recruiting and selectionBenefit AdministrationEmployee RelationsHRIS AdministrationEmployee Training and DevelopmentWorkers compensation, Safety, Leave of Absence Administration
Responsibilities:
· Implements strategies and programs which support identified business objectives.
· Manage HR staff and the daily functions and activities of the corporate HR Department and develop short and long term goals with VP, Human Resources.
· Serve as internal advisor and consultant to the corporation’s management team relative to Human Resource and employee issues and concerns.
· Maintain availability and accessibility to employees at all levels relative to concerns or issues that may arise and resolve them in a fair and consistent manner.
· Responsible for effective ongoing HR policy interpretation and administration. Communicate policy and procedure change as required.
· Mentoring and directing the development of the Human Resources staff including selection, development, coaching, and overall performance management.
· Responsible for oversight of administrative Human Resource functions such as employee record management, new hire, and termination process.
· Works closely with VP, Human Resources for benefit renewal process and completion of designated open enrollment periods.
· Overall responsibility for HR team including HR Generalist(s), Recruiting and HRIS professionals.
· Special projects as assigned.
· Month end reports to VP, Human Resources as assigned.
Required Minimum Education:
· Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related fields.
Required Minimum Experience:
· A minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an HR Manager.
Special Skills and Attributes:
· Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
· Well versed in core HR competencies including employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting, performance management, training, and employment practices.
· Considerable knowledge of state and federal employment laws (ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, etc.)
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, highly influential and persuasive. Superior communication and presentation skills. Creative problem solver.
· Excellent judgment and decision making skills.
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Honesty and integrity.
