Human Resources Manager, Programming

As a Human Resources Manager in a Business Partner role supporting the Philadelphia-based networks & Comcast Programming Group, the successful candidate will partner with all levels of management to help drive the business toward establishing and maintaining a culture of growth and excellence. This role focuses on coaching leaders and their teams, identifying business challenges, and designing and implementing related improvement opportunities in the organization.

- Supports assigned business unit management by providing human resources consulting to contribute to the achievement of strategic and tactical goals and objectives of the programming group; provides coaching and feedback on methods to improve individual and organizational performance to achieve these goals and objectives
- Partners with line management and HR team in the implementation and ongoing administration of key enterprise-wide Human Resources programs: base salary administration, total compensation, stock awards, performance management, benefits, human resources management system, etc.
- Assesses the need for talent in relation to business changes, including the need for specific competencies, knowledge or skills; partner with recruiting resources to ensure the best talent pool is available to achieve short- and long-term business goals and objectives.
- Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues; recommends and implements solutions for resolution while maintaining HR confidentiality and integrity.
- Partners with legal counsel to effectively resolve employee relations issues and minimize risk and exposure to the business.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's current and future needs to interpret and communicate HR implications to the business unit management team. Disseminates necessary information to the appropriate personnel and collaborates with HR staff in order to proactively develop and implement HR initiatives that will assist the business unit in its achievement of their objectives/goals.
- Travels to work sites within the assigned business unit on a regular basis to meet with the managers and staff. Determines the skill sets and developmental needs of the employees, the strengths/weaknesses of the group, communication styles, working relationships, and organizational structure.
- Leads HR related projects in areas relating to organizational development, rewards & recognition and other initiatives.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline; equivalent work experience may be substituted
- 4+ years HR generalist experience; experience in telecommunications environment preferred
- Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced organization with a client group located in multiple locations is desirable.
- Proven track record in champion Human Resources initiatives both at senior and staff levels throughout an assigned business unit or organization.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated success as a business partner, with direct contribution to achievement of organizational goals and objectives in mid-to large sized companies or business units.
- Demonstrated strength in relationship building with success influencing leaders at all levels. Strong facilitator, skilled at leading projects and initiatives and managing interpersonal/team effectiveness through constructive conflict to shared success.
- Decisive individual with strong strategic capabilities as well as operational and tactical perspective.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.
- Some travel required
