Job Description:* This position is 100% commission *QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.• 2+ years mortgage lending experience preferred.• Proven proof of mortgage production of at least $750,000 monthly, as well as a current book of business including customer database• Abundant mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners in the market including but not limited to realtors, builders, and financial planners• Thoroughly knowledgeable of mortgage products and services offered.• Possess effective and proven sales experience.• Keep up to date knowledge of real estate market trends.• Knowledgeable on agency and investor regulations and guidelines.• Hold applicable licenses, as required.• Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills.• Knowledgeable on applicable computer software systems to include word processing, databases and spreadsheets.• Good written and oral communication skills.• Good organizational skills.REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES:• Establish detailed marketing/business plan including names of potential and existing loan customers, realtors, builders, developers, etc and frequency of contact.• Answer customer calls and take walk in customers to discuss various loan products and qualification information.• Make sales calls on potential or existing customers as established in marketing plan to develop new business or retain existing business.• Prepare and distribute approved promotional flyers and materials.• Establish and implement such other marketing strategies as may be required, including, but not limited to First Time Buyer seminars, First Sale by Owner contacts, letters to past customers, financing seminars.• Network through professional, business and community organizations and activities to promote and market loan products.• Evaluate loan requests, analyze financial data, and determine qualification of collateral and customer credit history.• Structure loan to comply with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations.• Cross-sell other bank products and services.• Prepare files for underwriting, loan committee, private mortgage insurance company and investor including preparation of loan approval sheet.• Read surveys and appraisals, and take necessary steps to correct encroachments and violations.• Qualify loan for final approval by Loan Committee.• Maintain contact with loan customer, communicating progress of loan and obtaining any required documentation.• Participate in worthwhile community activities to promote and enhance the Regions integrity in the community.KEY DIFFERENCES:• Solicit mortgage loans through cold calls.• Has significant knowledge of all applicable products and services.• Minimum sales goals required as assigned.• Usually work with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters.• Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.• Has a strong knowledge of the organizationPlease visit the Careers section at Regions.com to submit your resume to this position.Click here to apply via the Regions Career Opportunity PortalExpected Travel Time: None
