INTERNAL AUDITOR

ABX Air is a cargo airline that operates out of Wilmington, Ohio, and 15 hubs throughout the United States. In addition to providing airlift capacity and sort facility staffing to DHL, ABX Air provides charter, maintenance and package handling services to a diverse group of customers. ABX is the largest employer in a several-county area in southwestern Ohio.



ABX Air is searching for an Internal Auditor to conduct financial and operations audits.  Job specifics include the following:

 

·  Examination and verification of accounting, statistical or operational records and or procedures to determine reliability and effectiveness of financial and control systems, material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and expenditures;

·  Examination of records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and policies, Sarbanes-Oxley in particular;

·  Preparation of reports to management and the Audit Committee

 

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of three years of internal or external audit experience or eight years of accounting experience.  Candidate must demonstrate familiarity with COSO and have strong computer skills. Good written and oral communication is essential.  Infrequent travel of less than 10% will be required.  Preferred experience includes CPA or CIA and airline experience a plus.

 

 Hours of work will generally be 8:00 – 5:00. Salary range:  $42,200 - $71,800 (commensurate with experience)
