Information Analyst (Data Analyst)

The Information Analyst (Data Analyst) is responsible for all technology activities required to provide our clients (both internal and external) with their technology deliverables.  This includes the set-up and execution of Targetbase Technology Solutions, along with the documentation and quality assurance activities for regularly scheduled recurring processes and project specific ad-hoc requests.

 

Roles/Responsibilities:Performs steps to cleanse, manipulate, and standardize data for database updatesPerforms campaign management activities to support client’s marketing initiatives. Designs work flow for each project and documents all project phasesInterprets and executes project alerts for ad-hoc requests. Applies business logic and asks appropriate questions if clarity is not apparent.  Documents and ensures smooth hand-off/project transition to other team members and provides back-up support, as needed.Performs QA activities to verify results from assigned projects and deliverables from other team membersCreates and maintains standard program reports and distributes appropriately and provides ongoing support to the Business Intelligence end-user community.Works closely with Senior Data Analyst and Database Manager to understand unique features of client’s technology solution and their marketing objectivesProvides management with timely communication on project status and needs and updates timesheets/project status reports daily.Contributes to the estimation processUtilizes appropriate tools and/or develops custom solutions as required to meet project objectives.Identifies areas for process improvementTakes responsibility for the accuracy and quality of the work performed and takes ownership of all assigned projectsMaintains appropriate communication within the team and across various department teams (i.e. project management, SBA and the client).

 

Requirements:College degree with a blend of business, analytics, and technical acumen requiredDirect (all-line) Marketing experience (client or agency side) a plusExperience with Consumer level data for the purposes of analysis, reporting, and/or marketing a plusStrong SQL skills requiredData warehouse implementation experience a plus - Experience with EAI technologies and methods a plusETL skills required (Informatica a plus)Data Hygiene experience (address standardization, merge/purge) a plusBusiness Intelligence and Data Mining Tools Experience a plusBusiness Objects Skills (Report, Design) Version 5.1 or greater a plus - WebIntelligence experience a plusOther tools (Brio, SAS, Cognos, Microstratagies, etc.) a plusAnalytical Data Mart Experience (Star Schema, multi-dimensional design - both logical and physical) a plusCampaign management knowledge and experience (Unica, e.Phipany, PeopleSoft, etc) a plus
