Information Technology Assistant Manager

I.T. Assistant Manager Kimball Midwest is searching for an Information Technology Assistant Manager in our Columbus, OH Corporate Office.  This person will be responsible for managing the Help Desk staff and the issues reported to the Help Desk, supporting business-critical applications and the data and voice infrastructure, managing projects to enhance the corporate efficiencies while promoting our two-customers, and proactively monitoring the infrastructure to minimize outages.  If you want to join a dynamic team and an innovative company, Kimball Midwest is the place for you!  We are the FASTEST GROWING NATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR of over 36,000 Maintenance and Repair Products (MRO) to the Industrial/Government/Heavy Equipment/Fleet/Auto repair markets.  We have grown from $9 Million in sales in 1990 to $105 million in 2007.  This position requires: ·  A bachelor’s degree, preferably majoring in computer science or engineering with some project management courses.·  Five (5) years experience in information technology with at least three (3) years experience managing technical resources to implement process improvements.·  Extensive working knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Red Hat, Exchange Server 2003, Active Directory, MS SQL 2005, VMware, VOIP phone systems and CISCO switches and routers.·  Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to train others on the product.·  The ability to multi-task and respond quickly to problems as well as work in a stressful environment.·  The ability to research new technology to define strategies and justify the business value for implementing change.·  The ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, managers, sales representatives, and outside vendors.
