Qualifications ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Designs, develops and revises multi-media training materials (print, classroom and web-based) to support field training programs for participants and facilitators. These materials must use solid instructional design methodology including active learning, job aids, assessments and competency-based evaluations. Manage multiple design projects using sound project management tools and methodologies. Partners with Operations and Ericksons people development team to understand top training priorities and evaluate the training needs and success of assigned projects. Ensures that all training materials reflect the look and feel of the Erickson brand. Monitors quality of project outputs. Works with project team to keep project on schedule and within budget. Confers with project personnel to provide technical guidance and to resolve problems. Assists in implementation/roll out of new programs. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Education: Bachelors Degree required in Instructional Design, Business, Training, Performance Technology, Education, Human Resource Management or related field. Advanced degree in Instructional Design preferred. Instructional design: minimum of 5 years instructional design experience, with demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theories; ability to build effective training content; ability to translate analysis into practical learning solutions; success at working with subject matter experts at all levels; ability to complete a thorough needs assessment; ability to design and develop print, classroom and on-the-job training materials (web based training development skills highly desirable) Project management: ability to create project plans and status reports; ability to work with various project teams in matrix environment to ensure successful completion of each project assigned; strong attention to detail in content creation to ensure consistency in look and feel of materials Verbal Communication: speaks clearly and persuasively; listens actively; obtains clarification; responds effectively to questions; presents information clearly and dynamically; ability to facilitate meetings/groups Written Communication: writes clearly and informatively; edits own/others work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style appropriately according to audience; presents quantitative information effectively; ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from internal customers Technical: advanced knowledge/application of Internet software; MS Word; spreadsheet software, and PowerPoint software.
