Currently, we are seeking an Intellectual Property Financial Analyst for our Knoxville, TN location. Summary:Provide financial support for the Global Marketing organization’s licensing activities. This position will provide periodic reports and forecasts supporting Marketing’s relationship with Disney Consumer Products and other licensing partners as needed. The position will communicate with regional units worldwide to provide reports, forecasts, and analysis as needed, and will interface with Accounting, Marketing, and Finance to provide accurate information.Additionally, this position will provide reporting, forecasting, and monitoring functions for Kimberly-Clark’s Global Licensing activities. In this role, the position will interface with Finance, Legal, and Treasury to ensure accurate and complete revenue reporting of affiliate and non-affiliate royalty and fee revenue, and will seek methods to improve processes inherent in realizing this revenue.Responsibilities: This will require the ability to understand multiple legal agreements, accounting principles, reporting systems, and bank payment practices. This position will be the primary financial control function for royalties and fees for both expense and income reporting. Coordinate with North American and regional business units to create accurate and timely royalty reports to external licensors (Disney Consumer Products and others), ensuring that Kimberly-Clark meets all contractual reporting requirements to avoid penalties. Prepare forecasts and summaries of applicable sales and royalties’ payable related to license agreements to internal and external customers, both periodically and on an as-needed basis, serving as a single point of contact for financial inquiries from internal and external customers. Coordinate with Genpact accounting and K-C affiliates to ensure that royalties are authorized and paid as required by licensing agreements and correctly billed to regional units and affiliates. Provide periodic forecasts, reports, summaries, and variance reports of royalty and fee revenue realized from affiliate and non-affiliate licensees of Kimberly-Clark’s intellectual property, serving as a key control person and point of contact for financial inquiries from internal and external customers. Identify and lead process improvements, methods and activities to improve royalty control, recognition and receipts. Plan and manage external auditing activities of Kimberly-Clark intellectual property licensees using outside independent auditors. Provide support of knowledge management, regarding royalties and intellectual property, including the Anaqua database.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 10 plus years experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles Advanced understanding of contract administration Familiarity with SAP Basic understanding of foreign currency exchange Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with the Anaqua intellectual property management databasePreferred Qualifications: Masters DegreeOther Qualifications: Customer Service oriented Detail oriented Forecasting experienceSend your resume today!
