Interim CFO
The Interim CFO is responsible for assisting the CEO of a small, rural critical access hospital in the successful transition to new financial leadership. This is a 45 days assignment, to start ASAP.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and organizing the financial operations of the hospital including financial planning, budgeting and analysis, controllership, and revenue cycle functions
- Supervising all aspects of the Finance Division and supporting functions, including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Materials Management, and Medical Records
- Developing, interpreting, coordinating, and communicating hospital policies on finance, accounting, budgeting, financial/accounting systems and internal controls and auditing
- Conducting meetings with staff to ensure compliance with established practices and keep employees aware of current standards and changes occurring within facility
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline
- Must have at least 3 years experience in Healthcare Finance
- Experience with cost reporting, contractual reporting, bad debt allowance, A/R, and revenue cycle management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff and community
- Master’s degree and CPA preferred
