JR. BUYER/PURCHASING ASSISTANT

As a Jr. Buyer/Purchasing Assistant in our Purchasing department, candidate will possess a minimum high school diploma, BS/BA and 2 years’ experience as Buyer/Purchasing Assistant or Expeditor/Buyer in a distributor environment is desired.  Knowledge of multi-site logistics planning preferred.  This candidate will be responsible for material planning, confirmations and expediting with suppliers on shipments.  To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to prioritize while juggling multiple tasks on a daily basis.  The candidate must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills to review historical data and trends for future needs.Experience in a MRP/ERP based work environment is preferred.  SAP experience preferred.  Required skills are:  Strong computer skills, a sense of urgency and impeccable follow through, clear verbal/written communication skills, team orientation and the ability to work independently.
