Your primary responsibilities would include development, testing, maintenance and installation support for the following environments (1) Hardware: Intel and AMD x86 and (2) Software: Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and virtualization technologies (VMWare ESX).Other responsibilities would include system automation, networking and customer support for the suite of products that make up the environment. The ideal candidate should have the significant working experience in the required technical areas and be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. Job Experience:Job requirements include: . Strong communication and interpersonal skills.. Need to be flexible with working hours. Ability to work overtime as required. Provide 7x24 support when required. . Provide hotline support for business groups and operations. . Provide off-hour problem and change implementation support. . Provide on-site support for Business Continuation testing. . Produce technical documentation including operations run books, user guides, engineering architecture and blueprint documents.. Knowledge of Japanese culture and business practices. Bilingual - Fluent with English and Japanese (preferably Level 1 language proficiency certification). Writing or assisting with the business, technical and functional requirements for the project. In both English and Japanese and translation between both languages.. Documenting the current state of infrastructure components and inventories.. Creating desired future state, gap analysis.. Project Plan creation and management -- narrowing the scope, what is the critical scope and eliminate scope creep.. Work with the Japanese team to understand application environment and criticality levels including impact on infrastructure and vice versa (infrastructure change impact to applications). Travel to Japan may or may not be required (expenses will be covered). Run and document teleconferences with people in Japan. Strong PC technical skills -- MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Microsoft ProjectTechnical expertise in the following is required:. Very strong knowledge of VMWare ESX and related technologies. Very strong Operating system knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/2003 . Visual Basic, Java or C++ . Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Printing, SMS . Firm Understanding of SQL Server 2005, data replication, and backup. Familiarity with Linux server Suse/Red Hat.. VBScripting, Bash, Bourne and/or other Linux shell scripting. Working familiarity with SAN technologies including clustering and boot from SAN.. Working familiarity of HP, Dell and IBM hardware, particularly with new I/O modules. Familiarity with Altiris Deployment Server and PlateSpin migration software . Familiarity in application virtualization using Citrix Streaming, Softricity, Appstream, and/or other application virtualization technologies. Troubleshoot and research root cause of problemsTechnical experience in any of the following would be plus:. 4-5 years experience with VMware ESX Server, with solid knowledge of VMotion, HA, DRS and other VI3.x features.. Familiarity with Citrix Presentation 4.0 and higher, as well as Microsoft Terminal Services. Familiarity with tools and utilities like Altiris Deployment server, PlateSpin migration tools, and Ardence. Expertise in application virtualization using SVS, Citrix Streaming, Softricity, Appstream.. Knowledge of Windows security. Knowledge of Cisco network technologies. Knowledge of .Net Application Architecture planning and support. Knowledge of Workflow, Imaging, and Enterprise Content Management Platforms.
