We are a major media company seeking a talented professional to manage local PR, work trade shows nationwide and develop marketing/pr programs with key trade partners. The ideal candidate has trade show production and management experience, sales savvy, marketing and pr expertise and can lead a team to deliver a profitable trade and bridal show marketing program.
Job Description
The Trade Show Manager is responsible for the following key Local Marketing initiatives:
· Local PR
· Trade PR
· Trade Association Partnerships
· Bridal Shows
This position includes management of work related to industry Trade Shows, approximately 40 per year, working and staffing the shows, and reporting on the ROI. A key component of this role is building relationships with each of our trade association partners and negotiating annual marketing programs and PR with each partner. The job requires uncovering opportunities for marketing, PR, speaking engagements at trade local chapters and nationwide as well as leading the creative development for all trade show marketing materials and conducting ROI for each event.
Job Requirements
Minimum three years experience in PR, selling at trade shows, business relationships and marketing initiatives including creation of sell sheets, marketing materials, displays and give-aways.Super, positive demeanor, a strong administrative background, the ability to motivate peers and work with a variety of personal styles. Strong organizational, oral and written communication skillsSelf motivated, work well under pressure and easily adapt to constant changeComputer proficient in Microsoft products with superior spreadsheet abilitiesRegular and ongoing travel is required for this position.Full-time position based in NYC or at home.
Candidates must possess strong creativity, analytical and strategic thinking skills, and strong decision-making, organizational, planning and budgeting skills. Incumbents must be extremely detail-oriented with good follow-through and must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be guided by general organization or project objectives. Position reports to the Director of Marketing and Special Events for Local Sales with accountability to PR Director for the Local and Trade PR programs.
Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements
*Requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field.
*Minimum of 3 years work experience in marketing with experience in PR, trade shows and association partnerships.
