Location: Lake Forest, IL 60045 Salary: Up to 45K Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Job Category: Marketing/Product Career/Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Years of Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code: M-140-md-41946 Jr. SEO Specialist We are currently seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to help coordinate and execute SEO tactics for the team and focus on optimizing and improving the company’s search engine optimization activities. As the Search Engine Optimization Specialist, you will help increase natural search engine traffic from key search engines to our site. The SEO Specialist will be aligned with site developers, engineering, product merchandising, emarketing and editorial teams to drive SEO success and will help establish SEO best practices for the website. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing organic keyword strategies, assisting with linking initiatives and SEO reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Knowledge of optimizing large websites for major search engines • Manage cross-site technical projects related to SEO • Audit published content for search engine optimization compliance • Work with design, marketing, production and engineering teams on implementation of SEO best practices and projects • Work with SEO vendors to coordinate and communicate project initiatives • Work with product managers to provide online product merchandising support • Align with goals and objectives – develop and track details of search engine optimization initiatives with project management processes • Assist with / provide SEO reporting, analytic reporting, data analysis and provide action items based on findings • Understanding of search engine ranking algorithms and ranking factors • Maintain expertise in search engine optimization Requirements and Qualifications: • 1 year SEO experience with knowledge of PPC preferred, OR • 2+ years work experience in direct marketing, database marketing, interactive marketing or advertising • Knowledge of web analytics required • Basic knowledge in HTML and content management / content management systems in order to support the execution of SEO projects (familiarity with the Broadvision content management system preferred) • Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, including experience reviewing campaign performance results and making recommendations for future action • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with cross functional teams to ensure implementation of SEO projects • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) • Solid organizational and project management skills Client Description: Our client helps customers save time and money by providing them the right products to keep their facilities up and running.
