Job Description:Local company seeks a remarkable individual with a few years of purchasing experience to join its team as a Jr. Buyer. Duties include compiling and analyzing data to improve/control costs, inventory turns, vendor lead-times, price breaks and minimum order quantities, product re-sourcing, and product transfers between warehouses. You will also be responsible for maintaining and modifying various computer-based purchasing systems for more accurate performance measures, more successful price negotiations, and advanced cost-control capabilities. The successful candidate will have well-developed mathematical and analytical skills, ability to work well independently as well as part of a team, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, a BA, and at least 1-2 years of purchasing experience.
