Pay rate: $35-$37/38/hr


Scope of Work:
Position Description:


Provide operational support and life-cycle management of the hardware and software networking infrastructure supporting core business applications that have direct revenue, cost, or productivity impact on the corporation. Primary technologies supported will include: Cisco LAN and WAN infrastructure components, Cisco wireless access points, intranet and internet connectivity, and other TCP/IP network components and services. The successful candidate should have sufficient knowledge to upgrade the Cisco IOS of various switches, routers and wireless devices and be able to configure based upon Ameren defined templates, standards and operating environments. Overseeing and coordinating resources may be required to ensure successful implementation. Knowledge of transport systems including T1, DS3, frame relay, MPLS and broadband services (i.e. DSL) is required.

Adhere to all aspects of General Computer controls necessary to ensure the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operation and administration of Ameren’s IT resources and consistent integrity of the various systems of data. Comply with Ameren change management and documentation policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer related degree from an accredited college or university. Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience without the academic requirements.

Experience:
· Seven or more years of WAN/LAN management, configuration and operations, router hardware/software, systems management utilities, network and network services, high-availability solutions, advanced server provisioning technologies, and disaster recovery.
· One or more years of relevant project management experience.

Other: Candidate must possess excellent communication, problem solving, organization, and human relations skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and outside vendors/contractors. Candidate must be able to produce exceptional results while working independently or as a member of a team.

 

This position appears it will be - Cisco Heavy - Cisco 3750 model server and 2800-3800 Switches and Routers. A little heavier on the LAN side than on WAN.
