Fibertec Environmental Services, Inc. was established in 1987 and is a recognized leader in environmental laboratory services with NELAP and NVLAP accreditation.  Our high throughput, production laboratory assists environmental consultants, industry, public entities, and others in identifying environmental hazards in submitted samples.   We are headquartered in Holt, Michigan.  Fibertec also has offices in Brighton and Cadillac, Michigan.

 

Position Description

We are currently seeking qualified Lab Analysts for our laboratory in Holt, Michigan.  The selected individuals will work as part of a team to provide our clients with high quality analytical testing of water, soil and air samples.  Preferred experience includes working with one or more of the following: Hewlett Packard/Agilent GC and GC/MS instruments using purge and trap systems, Perkin Elmer, ICP & ICP/MS Systems, and/or classical wet environment laboratory methodologies.

 

Position Requirements

* Bachelor of Science degree, Chemistry preferred

* One year lab experience with GC/MS, GC, ICP, ICP/MS, and/or classical wet chemistries

* Knowledge of EPA methods and QA/QC

* Equipment maintenance skills on GC/MS, GC, ICP, or ICP/MS

* Strong organizational skills

* Detail-oriented individual

* Competency with computer software

* Candidate must have authorization to work in the U.S.
