Loan Officer

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:

 

Originate residential mortgage loans from a variety of sources.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

·  Responsible for taking a complete loan application and collecting necessary documents.

·  Establish referral relationships with a variety of sources.

·  Develop marketing strategies.

·  Interface with prospects and referral partners outside the office.

·  Work closely with the loan processor and underwriter to expedite the loan approval process.

·  Proactively provide clients with frequent updates during the loan process.

·  Attend weekly meetings to learn about products and procedures.

·  Meet with branch manager to review loan pipeline and discuss production activities.

·  Complete continuing education requirements and maintain standards for license renewal.

·  Maintain up to date knowledge of changing market conditions.

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

·  Industry experience.

·  In-depth product knowledge of loan programs and guidelines.
