Job Requirements:

 BS degree in Business / Accounting or minimum of 5 years logistics and non-ferrous  industry experience.

 Position demands an energetic, well-organized individual who is adaptable to changing assignments and priorities, works well under pressure and prefers a fast pace work environment.

 Exhibits independent thinking skills, initiative, and ability to work with general direction.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Transportation logistics, commercial, accounting and customer service experience

 PC skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database (Microsoft word, Excel, Access and Outlook preferred).

 Some travel required (10%).

 

Description of Duties:

 Develop an overall working knowledge of departmental commercial, transaction and accounting practices and systems.

 Develop and maintain relationships with transportation companies, freight forwarders, warehouses, and aluminum consumers.

 Coordinate shipments between suppliers and consumers.  Includes import and export shipments.

 Contract Management including shipment performance as well as consumer / inventory positions.

 Freight (truck, rail & steamship) and warehouse negotiations.

 Inventory reconciliation including timely recognition of costs, sales, and month end reporting.

 Transaction analysis and problem resolution.  Includes customer phone contact as well as interaction with DJJ commercial and administrative personnel.

 Phone coverage and other administrative duties as assigned.
