K-C’s IT organization is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator.Summary: K-C’s IT solution provides services to over 300 sites globally from the corporate datacenters located in Wisconsin. The mainframe environment consists of multiple IBM mainframes and EMC storage providing a highly available platform for K-C’s in-house developed and SAP applications. Responsibilities:This position is responsible for the successful daily delivery of services and operation of the mainframe storage systems (both disk and tape) and includes the following: Monitoring the daily operations, performance and capacity of the EMC mainframe storage systems. Support for daily and weekly backup and restore processes. Support for the business continuity and recovery processes. Coach team members and K-C’s outsourced delivery partnersBasic Qualifications: A Bachelors degree along with 7 or more years relevant experience or more than 9 years of applied IT experience. Storage administrator experience required in a medium tolarge-scale Z/OS production environment. Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with SRDF, BCV replication technology in a production environment. An expert level skill in DFHSM, DFSMS, DFDSS, and FDR from installation and customization, to implementation across multiple LPARs. DFHSM, DFSMS expertise with emphasis on ACS routine cleanup and consolidation, dataset naming standard governance, and SYSPLEX storage administration best practice methodologies. Expert knowledge with system/user catalog subsystems and utilities with prior experience performing catalog and SMS segregation of production, development and test subsystems for optimal backup and recovery.
