Maintenance Technician

CommonBond Communities, a nationally recognized provider of affordable housing and support services for residents, is looking for a full time individual (40 hrs/week) to work as a Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for building, unit, and grounds maintenance, along with painting as needed. 

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Post secondary courses in electrical, plumbing and heating preferred Special boiler’s license or willingness to obtain one Minimum one year residential maintenance experience, building maintenance or residential construction Ability to work independently Ability to trouble shoot maintenance problems Good interpersonal skills Demonstrated record keeping skills Must provide own hand tools Willingness and ability to run errands to hardware store for maintenance supplies, cleaning supplies, or other items.  Requires access to reliable transportation.

Physical RequirementsAbility to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds Ability to kneel, crouch, and stoop Ability to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions Ability to reach above and below shoulders Ability to carry up to 50 pounds Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, pull, manipulate tools, machinery, objects Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
