Manager Geophysical Project - Land Based Data Acquisition

Q4B, Inc., a national recruiting firm, has been chosen by a global seismic solutions company to assist them with their recruiting needs.  Our customer provides advanced acquisition equipment, software, planning, and seismic processing services to the oil & gas industry.  E&P companies and seismic acquisition contractors use our customer’s technologies and services to help them generate images of the subsurface during exploration, exploitation, and production operations.

 

Due to growing needs in the oil & gas industry, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Manager, Geophysical Project position that will support the Land Imaging Systems Division.  Qualified candidates will manage geophysical seismic data projects, including data acquisition program design, operations, and design of new acquisition systems.  The qualified candidate for this opportunity may be located in Denver, Colorado or Houston, Texas. 

 

As a the Geophysical Project Manager, you will:

· Design and plan the objectives and locations of projects

· Develop business plans for full-wave operations solutions

· Provide operational management and oversee contracts, equipment, and crews

· Build relationships with customers to advise and promote full wave technologies

· Interact with oil companies and seismic contractors to define survey parameters on seismic data acquisition projects

· Work with architecture team members to audit system requirements and specifications

· Write and execute test plans that verify acquisition system performance

· Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure specifications for the system are implemented properly

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Degree in Geophysics, MBA a plus

· 8 years experience in seismic acquisition

· Experience in planning and operating seismic shoots in land based environment

· Experience interacting with seismic acquisition contractors and oil companies
