Location: : San Ramon, CA 94583 Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Manager, Learning & Development GENERAL SUMMARY: Oversees the In-Club Training Department. Reports directly to the VP of Learning & Development and works in affiliation with Divisional Vice Presidents of Operations (DVPOs), District  Managers (DMs), Club Managers (CMs), all department heads, club support departments and corporate functional departments.  Plans, develops implements, manages, and maintains training related to the operations of the clubs.  Act as a resource on all training format and materials. Serve as a liaison between all departments and training dissemination.  Responsible for the flow of the process of communication.  Plans, schedules, and controls activities to fulfill identified objectives applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements. Coordinates and integrates team and individual efforts and builds positive professional relationships with club staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Identify training needs and performance gaps in club operations training· Directs, controls, administers, and regulates training projects· Develop and maintain consistent adherence to training formats and tools· Maintain close contact will all department heads to maintain necessary training · Plan, develop and monitor the timeliness and presentation of training programs· Coordinate the dissemination of information to clubs and districts· Coordinate and facilitate efforts between functional departments and clubs· Build and maintain effective communication links with all department heads.· Support training needs of all departments.· Maintain close contact with department heads and all information that is distributed company-wide· Develops project plans and schedules (work break down)· Manages projects within the established schedule constraints· Controls project costs to ensure budget conformance · Ensures compliance to 24 Hour Fitness procedures and protocol · Manages (coordinate, integrate, and facilitate) the efforts of the individual, team, client, and other resources associated with training projects · Supervises Training Specialist· Develop, implement, and maintain tracking of employee training· Ensure training activities are aligned with the company mission, vision, values, business process and overall strategies· `Performs other duties as required ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Divisional Vice Presidents, District Managers, Club Managers, Department Heads, and Operations Services Department staff.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:· Excellent interpersonal skills.· Excellent communication skills-Written, Oral, and Presentation· Comprehensive knowledge of training processes, tools and technology· Project Management skills· Ability to effectively organize and structure activities. · Ability to lead and facilitate multiple activities and resources.· Technical writing skills· Group training skills·  Computer proficiency with advanced skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project and Intranet systems. 2)  Minimum certifications/educational level:· Bachelor of Arts or Science in related area preferred· Certification in technical design or training preferred 3)  Minimum experience:· Minimum of two year operations experience in training and project coordination   4)  Physical Requirements:· Local and domestic travel required.This position description intends to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
