For more information on Alcon, Inc., visit the Company's web site at .General Description: * The incumbent will be responsible for providing appropriate Microbiology portions of documents to support new product registration.* They will provide managerial leadership for the Surgical Microbiology unit.* The position includes preparing scientifically sound, relevant and timely documents that are consistent with regulatory requirements.Standards of Performance:* Possession of a working knowledge of FDA regulations and current knowledge on USP, EP and JP requirements.* Must ensure that microbiology testing is performed within budget, in a timely manner, and in compliance with SOPs and current standards.* Maintain documents that are in proper format, consistent wit current SOPs and traceable to original raw data.* Production of necessary technical protocols, reports, and test procedures that meet the current regulatory guidelines.Minimum Qualifications:* Prefer Microbiology background* PhD with relevant experience* Master's degree within the scientific/technical discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience * Experience factors typically are related to prior scientific/technical achievements, background in supervision of a scientific/technical function, and accomplishments in positions of leadership.RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLEOur generous benefits package includes the Alcon 401(k) Plan which matches employee contributions up to 5% of eligible pay at the rate of $1.00 for each dollar contributed, and the Alcon Retirement Plan (ARP), a qualified plan in which Alcon contributes 7% of eligible pay to the accounts of all eligible employees.
