For more information about PolyOne visit www.polyone.com GENERAL SUMMARY: The manager of Sourcing excellence has the primary responsibility of coordinating sourcing excellence deployment within the PolyOne Sourcing function and across global sourcing teams. Primary responsibilities include identification of opportunities in support of global procurement team strategies. The position will track and manage all projects to insure realization of benefits and education of the procurement organization on the principles and tools of lean sigma deployment. This role must act as change agent within the entire sourcing function in support of a transition to an operationally excellent environment across all sourcing activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Lead operational excellence deployment within the entire sourcing function from demand identification to payment. -Manage all systems, reporting, and analytical resources in support of sourcing excellence. Insure reporting and information systems align with global procurement team requirements for information. -Create world class internal processes around strategic sourcing, strategic supplier management, supplier scorecard development, and contract management- Develop supplier performance management systems in support of global procurement team strategies. -Coordinate and prioritize lean sigma events across all global procurement teams to insure maximum benefit across all of PolyOne. -Educate both global procurement teams and business unit teams on priorities and benefits of sourcing lean six sigma events. Demonstrate and apply principles and tools with all sourcing team members. -Insure strategies and tactics are aligned across all global procurement teams. -Develop key operational excellence metrics and measures across the entire procurement function to facilitate improved performance. -Interface with all areas of the business units and global procurement teams to insure improvements are implemented and sustained -Interface effectively with PolyOne operations excellence team -Manage two PolyOne direct reports and supply chain interns as required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelors degree with emphasis in supply chain, procurement, or related field - 5-10 years of procurement/sourcing experience, 3-4 years experience in lean six sigma leadership role within supply chain operations- Required Certifications or Licenses: APM, APICS, six sigma certification, black belt preferred - Prior experience with project and people management - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP experience is a plus- Strong Analytical skills - Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization, ability to drive change across the entire sourcing team in a matrix organization, - Strong process and performance management improvement skills- Must be personally accountable for a high level of performance within areas of responsibility.
