Position Summary:

The role of the Managing Director is to grow the region’s business profitably and in line with Company strategy. Specifically, the MD has full profit and loss responsibility for the region and management responsibility for regionally based employees.  As a member of the Senior Management Team, the MD is also a key contributor to Antenna Audio business strategy. The work location could be either in our New York City office or in our Sausalito, CA office.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Overall responsibility for P&L for region.

2. Develop and implement strategies for core and next to core business, building innovative offers for the market that achieve profit targets.

3. Work closely with CFO and CEO regarding budgets and long term business plans.

4. Effective management of costs in line with business strategy.

5. Manage and provide clear leadership to the Regional Managers.

6. Contribute to a performance driven culture through effective appraisal, motivation and development of staff.

7. Communicate policy and strategic decisions across the functions to maximize the use of these resources.

8. Share best practice with the other Managing Directors.

9. Develop a strong understanding of market specific issues.

10. Build strong relationships with key clients.

11. Represent Antenna in the marketplace at conferences and key events.

 

Requirements:

* Proven leadership ability with a minimum of 5 years line management experience

* Strong commercial awareness and numeracy with a minimum of 5 years commercial management experience

* Good interpersonal skills

* Strong client relationship skills

* Fluent in English and excellent writing skills

* A close affinity with the cultural environment

* Committed and energetic

* Sense of humor/resilience in adversity

* Eloquent presentation skills

* Degree or equivalent, possibly in business or “cultural” studies such as art history

* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
