THE COLLABORATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLLEGE TEACHING & LEARNINGwww.collab.orgMarketing, Communications, & Special Projects ManagerDevelop and implement marketing/communications strategies and other projects to achieve the vision, build participation and maximize the earned and contributed income of the organization. Work closely with and facilitate the work of the President; support Board advocacy; work collaboratively with other staff, volunteers, and consultants.DUTIES: Develop & manage database; website; print/electronic marketing & Membership Campaign materials for target audiences, incl. faculty, campus decision-makers Gather testimonials; write/lay out copy; coordinate printing, mailings, and ads; manage vendor relationships. Build relationships with key campus personnel and donors. Manage exhibit booth at conferences. Assist with coordination of needs assessments (surveys, focus groups etc.) and new program/resource development, including corporate sponsorships and developing and drafting grant proposals and reports. Compile data for reports and planning. Coordinate special programs including leadership award event/publicity; customized program evaluation and consulting services; Travel Grants for HBCUs, tribal colleges, Hispanic-Serving Institutions; print/electronic products on teaching and learning. Assist with other programs as needed.A STRONG CANDIDATE WILL SHOW ABILITY TO:* organize, manage, and take initiative on multiple projects in a busy office environment* work collaboratively with the President, staff, Board, volunteers, consultants; facilitate teamwork* build positive relationships with faculty & administrators from diverse institutions* assess and meet client needs* develop and manage workplans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely, efficient, and effective program development/delivery and achievement of participation and budget goals* provide high-quality work with close attention to detail, including writing of effective, error-free correspondence, marketing copy: proposals, and reports, including word processing and spreadsheets* represent The Collaboration effectively in a variety of professional settingsCompetitive salary and benefits. Some evenings, weekends and travel required.QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate required, including liberal arts; Master's degree preferred Minimum three years related work experience. Understanding of current issues in higher education and concerns of college/university faculty and staff; demonstrated commitment to quality teaching, learning, diversity, and inclusivity. Strong computer skills required (MS Office preferred, including Word, Excel, Access; Quark; FrontPage).Application review begins April 25 & continues until position is filled.
