Job Description:M-Audio is a leading provider of creative tools for computer-centric musicians and audio professionals, headquartered in Irwindale, CA we are part of the Audio Division within Avid Technology.Media RelationsThe M-Audio Media Relations Assistant is responsible for facilitating both the editorial and advertising sides of media relations. This person will proactively solicit media coverage as well as monitor, log and create reports of all the editorial coverage that M-Audio receives. In addition, the Media Relations Assistant will oversee the advertising creation and placement process. The ideal candidate is organized and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills.Daily responsibilities include: Reading all MI and consumer technology magazines and logging all M-Audio coverage Maintaining relationships with editors, writers and advertising representatives Soliciting press for coverage and reviews of M-Audio products Creating and distributing informative product CDs to media Tracking advertising costs and placements Managing ad creation process to ensure proper signoffs and timely delivery Requirements include: Exceptional organizational skills including experience with Excel Professional demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Music technology knowledge and MI experience strongly preferred We offer a competitive compensation package which includes:health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and employer provided Life Insurance, LTD, Tuition Reimbursement, and a generous PTO policy.
